After the unilateral plunge of gold from 5600 in the early stage, the large-cycle short pattern is still continuing, and the short-term low fluctuations and range pulling are just technical corrections.
The overall tone is that the big cycle remains bearish, and the short-term rebound will fall into range fluctuations.
So we will continue to maintain two ideas about this.
The band is empty, short-term is low and long.
To put it simply, after the bottom structure was built last week, the short-term rebound pattern is still continuing. The key area of the market today is actually the 4350-4360 area. Today, we can use this as the key defense and wait for the small-level form to bottom out. Look up to 4500 and 4600, especially the 4600 area. It is also critical. If the market breaks through this level, bulls can open up room for further rebound.
This is the short-term low-long idea within the day, and it is also our low-long strategy last Thursday or Friday.
As for the band wait-and-short position I just mentioned, it relies on the bearish structure of the daily large cycle. You need to wait patiently for this rebound to end, or wait for the rebound to build a top pattern at the one-hour level before building a short position in the band. There is a high probability that there will be a big drop by then, and I will tell you the details in the circle.
The current gold ETF holdings have remained in a state of fine-tuning recently, indicating that funds remain in a wait-and-see state regarding the current market pattern.
As the Federal Reserve significantly lowered its 2026 interest rate cut expectations in March and the sharp rise in crude oil prices indirectly suppressed the formation of gold, the market's optimistic expectations are declining.
Therefore, gold has shifted from being dominated by fundamentals to being dominated by technical corrections in the early stage.
