On April 8, in early trading in the European market on Wednesday, global financial markets rose across the board, driven by risk sentiment. Previously, the United States and Iran reached a two-week conditional ceasefire agreement, driving capital flows into risk assets. During the day, the market will focus on the producer price index and retail sales data for February that will be released in Europe. During the American session, the focus will turn to the minutes of the Federal Reserve’s March policy meeting to be released.
In terms of geopolitical developments, US President Trump announced on Tuesday night that he had agreed to implement a two-week ceasefire with Iran on the condition that Iran reopens the Strait of Hormuz during this period. Iran's foreign minister later confirmed that the country's military would coordinate the ship's passage. Iran and Oman are planning to charge strait transit fees, according to Iran's semi-official Tasnim news agency. Relevant negotiations are reported to start on Friday in Islamabad, Pakistan. In addition, the Israeli Prime Minister's Office clarified that the two-week ceasefire agreement does not apply to the Lebanese direction.
Major U.S. stock index futures rose sharply in early trading on Wednesday, with gains ranging from 2.5% to 3.5%.

The decline in safe-haven demand for the U.S. dollar has put heavy pressure on the U.S. dollar. The U.S. dollar index fell more than 0.5% during the day, falling below the psychological mark of 99.00.
The EUR/USD exchange rate continued its mid-week rebound, rising nearly 0.8% during the day, approaching the 1.1700 level.
GBP/USD was boosted by the general weakness of the US dollar, with the exchange rate rising by more than 1% to above 1.3430.
The New Zealand dollar/US dollar exchange rate surged nearly 2% during the day, and was trading around 0.5850 in early trading in the European market. Earlier in the day, the Reserve Bank of New ZealandAt the meeting, it was decided to keep the official cash rate unchanged at 2.25%. Governor Breman said after the meeting that the xmaccount.committee had discussed the option of raising interest rates but believed that price increases were not yet embedded in long-term inflation expectations.
The USD/JPY exchange rate fell sharply by about 1% and is currently trading near the 158.00 mark.
The AUD/USD exchange rate rose 1.5%, breaking through 0.7070, hitting its highest level since March 20.
The USD/CAD exchange rate fell for the third consecutive trading day and is currently trading below 1.3850.
